My recurring illusions of grandeur: (1) winning a state-level chess tournament, (2) winning the World Championship of Public Speaking, and (3) playing Flight of the Bumblebee on the guitar at the Annual Flatpicking Championship in Winfield, Kansas. Michael Kelly Firefly


Me and my new Michael Kelly Firefly. I sort of did things backward, tackling fiddle first, then moving over to the similarly-tuned mandolin. I could barely put this thing down during my July mid-tour break from Iraq.
